Blogging?

This being my first time blogging I still feel confused about what blogging truly is about. Is blogging even the right term to use? Can I blog wrong? I look forward to discovering information and being able to better understand my students and my fiance when they discuss blogging. Wish me luck as I join a whole new world to me. I am not a digital native, but I'm not a digital immigrant either. I feel I am floating in a world between the two. How do you think I've done so far?

    I think you have brought to light many questions non-immigrants/non-natives think about first time blogging. How do you feel about blogging being brought into your classroom?

    I am with you when you say you are floating between the two. I feel the same way. As a native, I can understand that my students would enjoy using this tool. As an immigrant, the question becomes how do I do that and how do I make it useful for them?

    You are right, you blogged all wrong! JK. I don't think it can be done wrong, maybe off your goal? I mean if it is for kids to share their stories of encounters with deaf people in the community and one starts talking about the new dress she bought, Wrong! So we redirect, we do that in the classroom already. I think there may be some students that become engaged in this who were not before, that may be a huge benefit. I am not sure if I am ready to try it in my classroom. Since we will be writing lesson plans I guess I should get ready!
